EZ-Day is a field knife for the hunt and the work after it. The size sits in the middle — not too small, not too large — with a classic shape and a sharpened spine so you can strike huge sparks from your ferro rod when you need them most. This is PROTO 250, a prototype run for our 250th anniversary. The blade is deep-engraved so the mark proudly lasts centuries — just like our country.
The lightened skeletonized full tang has an ultralight aerospace foam core and is bonded to handles precision-machined from USA-made patented SureTouch — laminated G10 and rubber, smooth enough not to blister, still grippy when wet. Titanium hardware is Grade 5 and oversized next to the blade so a missed baton strike doesn’t delaminate the handle. There’s a low-friction bow-drill spindle dimple you can use with the knife safely in the sheath if the ferro rod stayed in the other pack. Epoxy-sealed so you can use it on food without taking the knife apart to clean under the scales — a good option when you’re wiped from the hunt.
Precision machined and heat-treated by us here in North Idaho in small batches. Each blade is sharpened on low-RPM water wheels to prevent heat buildup and protect the temper, then verified on a motorized test stand with a BESS-certified sharpness tester so we know it’s actually razor sharp. Every Harrison Brothers knife includes our Good Stewards Promise: lifetime sharpening and cleaning for anyone who owns it.
